Exploring regenerative thinking to transform business practices

At Andel’s recent leadership conference, we focused on two strategic megatrends: regenerative business development and AI, exploring how to foster connections between people, systems, and nature.

The conference took place on a stunning estate in the heart of West Zealand’s nature, offering the perfect backdrop for a day focused on regeneration.

Together with Andel, we crafted a program that combined thought-provoking presentations, hands-on case workshops, and immersive outdoor activities, all strategically designed to maintain energy, engagement, and a strong sense of purpose throughout the day.

One of the day’s highlights was a series of case workshops (designed by us) where the leaders tackled real-world challenges from Andel’s business through a regenerative lens. Drawing inspiration from Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats method, we encouraged leaders to explore regenerative principles in a systematic way, fostering deeper insights and more focused discussions.

Immersive learning into the woods

To create variety and sustain engagement, we introduced an experiential segment called “Into the woods.” This unique activity immersed participants in three dimensions of connection:

  • Nature’s connectivity: A mycology expert revealed the hidden world of mycelium and its role in supporting forest ecosystems.
  • Physical connectivity: Parkour athletes from Street Movement demonstrated how they connect with their surroundings and each other while navigating natural environments.
  • Personal connectivity: Participants reflected on the benefits of nature on mental health during a guided walk.

This outdoor segment provided a refreshing counterpoint to the conference’s indoor elements, enhancing the program’s rhythm and reinforcing the theme of interconnectedness.

A new conference rhythm

As already hinted, the conference featured an intentional rhythm designed to sustain focus and engagement—a vital ingredient for a successful learning experience. The rhythm of the day was as follows:
